A five year old girl from Vista is making national news this morning after she was able to pay off the lunch debts of 123 of her classmates by selling cookies! Katelynn Hardee sold cookies, hot cocoa, and cider outside her home in Vista. Katelynn's mother, said, "She started asking me a lot of questions and I just tried to explain to her that sometimes people aren't as fortunate and that we need to try to be kind and give when we can. Especially this holiday season, and with everything that's going on in the world, we just need a little bit more kindness out there."
Katelynn's next goal is to pay off more than $6,000 worth of lunch debt across her entire school district.
