How to Stop Your iPhone From Autocorrecting "i" to "A"

posted by Steve Kramer (@thestevekramer) -

Have you noticed this weekend that all of your "i" on your iPhone are autocorrecting to "A"? It's not happening to all phones but if its, it's super annoying! It has something to do with a glitch in iCloud predictive text. Apple doesn't have a solution yet, but LifeHacker figured out a work around that work in the time being...

To set things up you need to first go into the Settings menu on your device followed by General, then Keyboard, then Text Replacement.

From there, press the + sign and then type an upper-case ā€œIā€ as the phrase and a lower-case ā€œiā€ as the shortcut.
