New Update 4/18: This past weekend I shared with my parents the news of my birth last name. It was something I wasn't sure how they were going to react to but at the same time I kinda knew.
UPDATE: I have a huge update for everyone on this journey, after speaking with one of our awesome Channel 933 listeners, this listener was able to find out my birth name because she's been doing this line of profession for over 20 years! I've known that my name was Cristian at birth but no last name...until now! Take a listen to how this journey is coming along.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my story in hopes of getting answers to questions I have and possibly helping someone else who is going through this.
I was adopted at a very young age (about 13-18 months old) and as I got older I had a lot of questions with no answers. When I started looking into it I realized that this adoption was a closed one, which means one party does not want to be contacted. I was only given a brief description of my birth parents; my mom loved to sew and my dad loved to play basketball and soccer. (this was the only info my adopted parents were given about my birth parents.) I was also born in Santa Ana, CA and that's about all I know.
Once I found this out I accepted it and moved on. Then a few years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes which led me to open up about my health conditions. Without knowing any background info on myself or where I come from this has me searching for my birth parents, however I don't know really where to start and that is where I need your help.
