City and County leaders are planning to transition the Convention Center to a temporary shelter for migrant children. Up to now it had been housing the homeless so now they are working to move 500 homeless San Diegans to Golden Hall which will be operated by Father Joes. These changes will be made as early as this week.
A Chula Vista couple that has been married 72 years finally got to hold hands for the first time in a year!
They hadn’t been able to embrace due to the pandemic. Francis and Roberta Doiran were married Nov. 25, 1948. They moved into their Chula Vista home in 1955, which they still own. About three years ago Robert moved into a care facility and for her first two years, her husband Francisvisited for 12 hours a day, every day of the week. That stopped when the pandemic started. For the last year, they have only been able to make daily phone calls and video chats. Other than two half-hour visits with six foot of distance kept the whole time, they have not seen each other in person. Well they finally got to reunite yesterday because they are both fully vaccinated.

Shrimp Tails in Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
The husband of actress Danielle Fischel (Topanga from Boy Meets World) posted a video on social media of a pair of sugar coated shrimp tails that he found in a cinnamon Toast Crunch box! At first, the company said that the alleged shrimp tails werelikely “an accumulation of the cinnamon sugar that sometimes can occur when ingredients aren't thoroughly blended.” They offered to replace the box however he responded saying, “I am not sure I'm ready for another box! These are cinnamon-coated SHRIMP TAILS, you weirdos.”
Well now a lab is testing the alleged shrimp tails to do a DNA Test to see what it really is!
