THIS....has become the shoe of the pandemic!

  • After the new coronavirus data was released yesterday, San Diego is staying in the purple tier! The rate of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents was 8.8 and we needed to be at a 7 or lower to get into the red tier. However, our testing positivity percentage is 3.3%, which qualifies it for the orange tier.  Based on the new data and current reopening system, the earliest we  could move to the red tier is March 30.
  • The Del Mar super site vaccination super site will be closed this weekend due to a shortage of vaccines. The CEO of Disney has announced that Disneyland plans to reopen its gates in late April. He doesn’t think it will be ready by April 1st and right now there’s no exact date for reopening but the park does plan to recall thousands of workers that were furloughed. Meanwhile, theaters in LA could open as early as March 19th. LA covid numbers dipped into the red tier yesterday so if they can stay there for another week the next sector would reopen.

  • Where do you go in your home when you need to get away? Well many people during this pandemic have been escaping to the bathroom!!Yep, the bathroom has become our sanctuary during the pandemic, with 22% of people saying it’s the only place they can get some peace and quiet. 33% said they enjoy the “calmness” of the bathroom and 36% said they’ve been spending more time in the bathroom than ever before. And 68% said the bathroom had a positive impact on their mood.
