  • The first presidential debate of 2020 took place last night. This is the first of three that will take place. President Trump and Joe Biden debated over everything from the coronavirus to racial injustice protests and the Supreme Court.
  • Will you shut up, man?Joe Biden's response to Donald Trump during the first presidential debate was trending on Twitter.
  • The next round of debates is on October 15th and then October 22nd.  Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris will face off on October 7th.  And speaking of the elections, if you need a ride to your polling places on voting day, you can ride for free on the bus or trolley that day. It’s called Free Ride Day and they will offer free rides to polling locations on all MTS and NCTD routes, including buses, trolley, sprinter and coaster.  For more information, visit sdvote.com.
  • A group of parents here in San Diego are calling for San Diego parents to participate in a statewide “Zoom blackout” this week.  Parents are frustrated with distance learning, and some have no start date at all and now they are fed up. They started a Facebook group called Reopen California Schools and there are already more than 7,000 members. So they are asking California parents to refuse to participate in Zoom learning this week. 
  • San Diego will start enforcing parking regulations again tomorrow after not enforcing tickets for the past 6 months.

Beginning tomorrow, written warnings will be issued for cars parked in violation of: 

  • -Posted street sweeping routes
  • -Metered parking restrictions
  • -Curb time limits
  • Commercial zones
  • Citations and fines will be issued beginning Thursday, Oct. 15.
  • SDSU will allow a limited number of in-person classes starting Oct. 12 That means about 2100 students will return to campus. Most of the classes are upper-level or graduate-level courses. Students taking classes in person will be required to be tested for coronavirus “at least every 14 days. ”As of Tuesday, SDSU has recorded 1,080 cases — including 1,036 confirmed cases and 44 probable cases — of the virus since the fall semester began Aug. 24. A complete list of classes held in-person is published on the university registrar’s website.

Kelly Clarkson is now getting sued by her former manager! Not only is this her former manger but also her former father in law!!!!! Apparently Kelly owes them in millions by the end of the year.
