Popeye's Bringing Back Its Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie

It's fall and Popeye's is bringing back its Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie after a 5-year hiatus!

It's no surprise that a lot of folks in the United States are CRAZY for pumpkin spice. We live in a pumpkin spice world... or at least it seems like it.

According to food delivery service Grubhub, the West Coast is CRAZY for pumpkin spice. California, Washington, Utah, and Oregon were the top 5 states with the highest number of pumpkin spice orders.

Sometimes, these 'limited-time-only' labels do more than we know to get us to march to restaurants in order to 'get them before they're gone.' For example, SPAM released their Pumpkin Spice flavored Spam, and just like Popeye's chicken sandwiches, those have sold-out as well. (Don't worry, Spam has at least 15 other flavors for you to choose from)

In 2018, Buffalo Wild Wings had a 'limited-edition' pumpkin ale sauce for their chicken wings. Last August, Busch Beer teased on social media (and deleted) a pumpkin spice latte hard seltzer with a rumored 17% ABV. Unfortunately, THAT product was only a joke.

So here we are in fall of 2019, Popeye's is bringing back one of their classics, the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie which have a cream cheese filling inside a flaky crust.

They'll cost $1.29 and will only be available at select locations.

Back in 2014, the pies were released as a dessert option for, again, 'seasonal limited-time-only' type of deal.

As for their wildly popular (sold-out in just 2-weeks) chicken sandwiches, the company estimated that they'll be back, eventually. Hopefully, they follow through on that promise.
