There is a new app that will help you beat the heat this summer.
Swimply is an AirBnB-style app, which allows the privately owned pools to be accessed by people needing a cool down.
There are about 125 pool owners in San Diego County currently advertising on the app.
Each pool visit costs around $50 an hour, with Swimply receiving 15% of every transaction.
The fees cover liability insurance for the pool owners in case of any accidents like drowning or property damage.
