Here’s Where San Diego Ranks On Most Expensive Cities To Rent In The U.S.

The San Diego, Chula Vista, and Carlsbad metro areas are ranked among the top most expensive areas in the country.

According to Lawnlove.com, the three regions rank number 5 on it's list of pricey rentals.

Rounding out the top 5 are New York City and Newark, New Jersey at number 1, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Pampano Beach, Florida at number 2, Naples and Marco Island, Florida at number 3, and Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura, California at number 4.

According to the study, more people are moving away from California and the northeast due to high costs of living, and setting up in Southern states, which is driving up inflation in those regions as well.
