The Helen Woodward Animal Center is helping dozens of rescued Beagle's find a forever home in San Diego.
The center released a message on their website, saying “Starting this week, around 4,000 beagles are being rescued from a Virginia mass breeding facility for lab testing. The facility is being shuttered due to inhumane treatment. Now, some beagles are heading to us here at the Center and here’s how you can help!"
45 of these dogs are now ready for adoption in the county.
The HWAC is also taking donations on it's website to help support these and other animals in their care
The Animal Center says "Your gift today will support these beagles and other orphan pets that come to our facility. These funds will go to support overall care before pets find their forever home, including the costs for supplies, food, checkups and other necessities."
