A high surf advisory is in effect for San Diego county until Thursday morning as some of the highest waves in Hawaii in the last 25 years head to America's Finest City.
The waves here will be anywhere from 4 to 10 feet until Thursday at 8:00 am.
Dangerous rip currents are expected up and down the coast.
On Monday, waves reached up to 8 feet at Mission Beach and up to 5 feet at Solana Beach.
The National Weather Service later adjusted its forecast to accommodate larger sets.
In Hawaii, waves reached 25 feet on Sunday.
