The doors of the San Diego Convention Center are set to open Wednesday evening as Comic Con San Diego welcomes the public to an in-person event after two years of a virtual event, due to the pandemic.
The four day event kicks off Wednesday with preview night. Due to Covid, new protocols have been put in place place for Comic Con 2022, July 21-24. Everyone in attendance will be required to show proof of vaccination or present a negative Covid-19 test prior to entering the event. In addition, face coverings over the nose and mouth are required. Anticipation has been building for San Diego's largest convention which is filled with superheroes and superstars. Among the celebrities scheduled to attend are Keanu Reeves, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, along with the casts of a number of films and television shows. In addition, the floor will be filled with collectibles and artists.
