Ben Affleck has officially reentered the dating scene following his divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, which became official on Friday (February 21).
A source recently told People that the Argo star has started "casually" dating again but is very focused on work.
"Ben's casually dating. This doesn't seem to be a focus though. If he's not filming, he spends long days at his office." Affleck might have soft-launched his dating life, but when he's not working, he hangs out with his and ex Jennifer Garner's children, Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12. The source noted that the silver screen king spends a large amount of time with his son.
"They are very close."
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck six months ago, exactly two years to the day of their 2022 Georgia wedding ceremony. The former pair, who did not sign a prenup, have since gone their separate ways and have fully embraced single life. The "On The Floor" songstress recently purchased a new home despite their joint estate remaining on the Beverly Hills housing market, per Daily Mail.
In October, Lopez revealed that she felt "free" following her split from Affleck, telling Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine that she's "not looking for anybody."
"Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own. Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f****** do when it’s just me flying on my own ... what if I'm just free?"
