Uh Oh y'all looks like Shawn Mendes got caught in a lie! The singer was doing a lie detector test for a Vanity Fair videos. Now listen, these videos are fun! They very rarely actually create awkward scenarios. However I will say, this moment was a little awkward.
Essentially Shawn was asked about Taylor Swift. He talked about how he texts her for advice like once or twice a month and that she is a good friend. He was then asked about her boyfriend Joe Alywn. Shawn said "I've never personally met Joe, but he looks like a sweet guy". To which the operator of the lie detector test said "You're not telling the truth, you're being deceptive".
Talk about uncomfortable! Mendes then said, "I’m lying a little bit? Yeah, I mean, he’s kind of got a little bit of a villain look about him. I mean, he looks like a nice guy but, like, he at any movement could turn into a villain, you know? But he’s got really blue eyes, and I struggle with eyes that blue, you know? Like, I find it easier to trust brown eyes.”
It's ok Shawn! I also like brown eyes too!
