What is the Penny Challenge?
The challenge involves taking a penny and sliding it behind a phone charger that's not fully plugged into the wall outlet to create sparks
No surprise here. It's dangerous. And fire officials all over are warning against the practice. The sparks created by touching the penny on the prongs could start a fire, sometimes behind the wall, and in many cases, cause damage to the appliance that's plugged in. Those caught doing the challenge could also face arson charges.
