Things That Matter With Geena The Latina May 20th

San Diego restaurants and shops are on there way to reopen, possibly as early as today. San Diego County supervisors approved a reopening plan for dine in service and retail shopping and they submitted it to the governor yesterday. We should know by noon today. However, now the question is how many restaurants and shops will be ready to open.  Businesses are hiring back staff and rearranging their layouts for 6-foot physical distancing, retraining staff under new sanitation protocols, etc so a lot of places may not be open immediately.

Some of the rules you might see are : temperature scans of employees daily, spacing all tables 6 feet apart or, if unmovable, installing a barrier between tables; requiring diners to wear facial coverings when not seated at their table; and disinfecting restrooms and “high contact touch points” frequently. Tableside food preparation and self-serve buffets and salad bars are prohibited. If all goes according to plan today, restaurants and retail stores could fully open to indoor guests by lunchtime today.
