Teen Stabbed While Bystanders Record Video Offering No Help

Khaseen Morris, 16, was stabbed in the chest over a girl as he was getting jumped outside of a pizza shop in Oceanside, New York.

Another 17-year-old suffered a broken arm and related injuries during the scuffle.

The fight happened because Morris, a new student at Oceanside High School, walked a girl home after a party over the weekend. The girl's ex-boyfriend was jealous and provoked the fight that happened on Monday, September 16, 2019 around 3:45 pm in front of Mario's Pizzeria and Restaurant.

Up to 80 bystanders offered no help to the victim as they stood by, recorded, and watched the fight according to Nassau County Police detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick during a press conference. He stated, 'I don't know what to make of it, my generation versus this generation. This can't go on. Your friends are dying while you stand there and video it. That's egregious.'

Nassau County Police are looking for around 6-7 people who were involved in the fight and using the footage recorded by bystanders to find them.

So far, Tyler Flach, 18, of Lido Beach, has been arrested and charged with murder. He pleaded not guilty and was ordered held without bail.

Karen Ferraro created a GoFundMe page to help the Morris family with funeral expenses. So far, the page has raised almost $40,000 dollars.
