Teacher Arrested for Hiding Gun for Student in Her Classroom

North Carolina teacher at Paisley Magnet School in Winston-Salem, Sarah Melissa Wilson, 25, was arrested for hiding a .25 caliber handgun in a drawer for a student in her classroom before they threatened to shoot up the school on a Snapchat post.

She later returned the gun to the student after school.

Sarah Wilson teaches language arts and has been with the school since August 2017 before she surrendered herself to authorities on Monday, May 13, 2019.

Wilson has been suspended without pay and is set to appear in Forsyth District Court on May 30. Authorities are pursuing charges against 2 students who were involved in the incident.
