The San Diego Unified School District and 4 other school districts are suing San Francisco-based Juul Labs, Inc. for marketing their vaping products to minors.
The lawsuit alleges that Juul's marketing campaigns influenced under aged minors to use e-cigarettes which in turn interrupted school operations. School districts had to spend resources to mentor students as well as equipment to monitor them. Also, since schools receive state revenue for student attendance, vaping related illnesses had affected them financially.
