Possible French Fry Shortage in the United States Following Bad Weather

After some heavy rainstorms, Hurricane Dorian, and some snow, it appears potato harvests took a beating across North America. Yep. That means potential potato supply shortage.

Snow and rain in places like Minnesota, North Dakota, Idaho, as well as parts of Canada, left some potato farmers forced to abandon their crops.

It's estimated that there will be about a 6% drop in available potatoes in 2019 according to The US Department of Agriculture. That's the lowest level since 2010.
