Landmark Middle School student Diego, 13, was sucker-punched on September 16, 2019 around 1:10 PM, by two 13-year-old students and bumped his head on a concrete pillar as he fell.
He was hospitalized for his injuries and died the following week.
The attack was captured on cell phone video.
The two 13-year-old boys, who also happen to be honors students, were arrested by Moreno Valley Sheriff Department for their roles in the attack and are currently being held at Riverside County Juvenile Hall.
Diego's family will be donating his organs to help 'transform this tragedy into the gift of life for another child.'
