In 1989, Nelson Sullivan and his friend Dick went on a road trip from Atlanta to his hometown of Kershaw, South Carolina, when he stopped at a McDonald's in Washington, Georgia, for some lunch.
He documented his trip with nothing more than a video and Polaroid camera.
What's unique about this video you might ask? Well, it was unusual for anyone to walk around with a video camera to film themselves back then. Good to know that Polaroid cameras are STILL in use today, believe it or not.
Well, it's safe to say that Nelson and his vlogging style was way ahead of his time because almost EVERYONE is doing today what he was back in 1989... all before the Internet was mainstream!
Tragically, Nelson died from a heart attack shortly after this video was filmed. He had just quit his job in order to work on his cable TV show.
And just for kicks, here's a video highlighting the beautiful designs of VHS covers.
