'Ghostbusters' sequel is coming in 2020 and there's already a teaserThe story will continue based on the original Ghostbusters franchise movies from the 1980s. This is NOT a reboot, it's a continuation and the story will be set in the present day!
Directing the sequel will be Jason Reitman, the Ghostbuster's original director Ivan Reitman's son. Jason used to hang out around the original Ghostbusters sets during filming with his father when he was only 6-years-old.
There will be no connection to Paul Feig's 2016 take onGhostbusters which starred Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon.
Jason Reitman didn't elaborate on details, but he confirms that this third chapter in the Ghostbusters series would hit theaters sometime in the summer of 2020.
