Food Delivery Man Loses 300 lbs Copying Healthy Clients' Diet

Antonio Martinez, of Chicago, at his heaviest, wore a 5XL t-shirt and weighed over 500 lbs.

He knew he needed to change his lifestyle when his wife wanted to start a family. He was concerned about how he would take care of a child when he wasn't confident about how he was taking care of himself. Up until that part of his life, he was used to eating comfort foods like fast food, bread, and rice.

Knowing that he needed to be more physically active, Martinez got a second job delivering groceries with a company called Instacart. Early in his food delivery career, Martinez struggled to carry groceries up and down stairs for his clients, but as he got used to the work, the job got more and more easier. He thought of the job as a daily Crossfit workout where he got paid to get in about 15,000 steps a day!

After the first year on the job, he had lost some weight but still felt like it wasn't enough. He eventually took note of what his healthy clients were ordering and began to mimic the same diet for himself. Eventually, Martinez discovered the Keto diet; a diet that's high in fat and low in carbs.

Over the course of 5 years, he had lost 300 lbs on the job and even got a promotion!
