28-year-old Alyssa Marie Torres from Port St Lucie, Florida, shot and killed her stepfather, 7-year-old daughter Amarilyss Martinez.
Torres' mother was taken to the hospital with injuries, not from gunfire. After the shootings at the Waterleaf Townhomes Apartments on South East Hillmoor Drive around 12:30 AM, Torres fled off in a 2005 silver Toyota Rav4. She was later captured around 10:30 AM the following day by authorities. The motive is unknown.
