Firefighters Pose for Pic In Front of Burning House on New Years Eve

Firefighters in Detroit are in some serious heat for posing in front of a burning house for a pic... instead of battling the flames

The pic, which was taken around Tuesday evening because their fire battalion chief was retiring, was posted on the Detroit Fire Incidents Facebook page with the caption, 'Crews take a moment to get a selfie on New Years!' before it was taken down.

Detroit Fire Commissioner Eric Jones was not happy about the pic and said that it was "inappropriate and unprofessional" in a statement.

The firefighters posted a follow up to the pic, “In regards to the photo that was removed we would like to clear a few things up, First of us no one at this page took that photo; Second we were asked to post it by a fire fighter for the city of Detroit; Third the only reason it was removed is we received messages by guys on the job stating that they had been threatened For the photo being posted,”
