A bride and her maid of honor tried to scam the bridesmaids out of several hundreds of dollars by doubling the retail cost of their dresses from $200 to $400 so that the bride can have money for her OWN gown!
The story was shared by one of the bridesmaids on a viral Reddit post in detail. The bridesmaid, who was a college student that was unable to make it to the final fitting, went to the dress shop separately to pick up her $400 gown for the wedding and discovered at the register that the dress actually cost $200 less than the quote that was originally given to them by the bride. After confronting the bride and maid of honor, the bridesmaids found out that the profit was going to be used for the bride's actual wedding gown.
After the confrontation, 4 bridesmaids dropped out of the wedding party.
