Adopt our Featured Furry Friend, Americano! He is the last of a litter of six Labrador Retriever blend puppies found on an abandoned farm in rural Oklahoma. Sadly, their mom was nowhere to be found. While they don’t have confirmation of the mama’s fate, oftentimes in these situations the mother falls victim to coyotes while out scavenging for food.
When Americano first arrived at the Center, he was incredibly shy—he’d tuck himself into the back of his kennel, unsure of all the new faces. But thanks to the incredible Animal Care Team at Helen Woodward, he’s come so far! His confidence has blossomed, and now this sweet boy—with the cutest face you’ve ever seen—is ready for his forever family!!
Americano is six months old, about 26 pounds, and expected to grow to between 36 and 56 pounds.
