There are nearly 24,000 public high schools in the U.S., according to the National Center for Education Statistics. And some of the best schools in the state happen to be right here in San Diego.
Stacker compiled a list of the best public high schools in California by using rankings from the review website, Niche. The San Diego public high schools to make the list were: Canyon Crest Academy (No. 2), Torrey Pines (No. 9), Mt Everest Academy (No. 20), and Westview High School (No. 22).
