Airbnb Promotes Travel to Countries Denigrated by President Trump

Airbnb has launched a new ad campaign promoting travel to countries that were denigrated by President Trump last week.

The short-term rental company says it'll spend at least $100,000 on digital ads to help promote travel to some of their listings in Haiti, El Salvador, as well as African countries.

The company said in a statement on their website that they wanted to "encourage more travelers to visit these special and beautiful places,” as part of their "mission to create a world where anyone can belong anywhere.”

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky highlighted several of the website's listings on Twitter, including sites from Senegal, Haiti and Morocco.
