New Bill & Ted Movie Starts Filming

Ed Solomon, the Bill & Ted franchise cowriter has confirmed on Twitter that filming for the new Bill & Ted Face the Music started shooting today.

That's right. Bill & Ted (Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter) will use rock and roll music to save the universe. The plot: A visitor from the future tells best friends Bill and Ted that one of their songs can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe.

So far, the movie will star Scott Mescudi (a.k.a. Kid Cudi), Brigette Lundy-Paine, William Sadler, Samara Weaving, Amy Stoch, Hal Landon Jr., Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Beck Bennett, and Glee actress Jayma Mays. Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) will be directing the movie which is slated for an Aug. 21, 2020 release.

His Tweet: "Monday. Crew call: 7:30. First shot: 9:00," along with a blurry photo titled, “Photo From Last Night’s Cast Dinner that Reveals Nothing (So I Don’t Get Into Trouble).”
