A $20,000,000 prize was waiting for Chad Fry when he bought a $30 scratcher in Auburn, (Placer County) California.

Fry has just been paid for a "side construction job" that he had completed months before when he decided to stop and “buy some beer and a Lottery ticket,” at Foothill Market in Auburn. He says that the Set For Life Millionaire Edition ticket caught his eye and he decided to splurge on the $30 ticket.

He had planned to scratch the ticket when he got home but, remembered he had to stop at the grocery store first. But, once he parked at the grocery store, he thought, "Let me scratch this thing really quick. I scratched the first line, got halfway through the second (line) and saw (the word) ‘LIFE!’” That’s the word players need to uncover to win one of the six record-prize tickets that are in circulation!

Fry opted for the lump sum of $11.6 million dollars instead of payouts of $800,000 per year for 25 years. He plans to buy a new F250 truck with some of his winnings.
