Dog With Horrific Disfigurement Found In San Diego Neighborhood

The San Diego Humane Society is asking for the public's help in a felony animal cruelty case involving a dog found with a chain embedded in his neck.

A good Samaritan found the 4-year-old male Dogue de Bordeaux on July 2nd in San Diego's Webster neighborhood.

The dog was taken to the Humane Society's Pilar & Chuck Bahde Center for Shelter Medicine, where he was immediately treated for open wounds around his neck.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477, where people can remain anonymous.

Report suspected animal cruelty or neglect to the Humane Society at 619-299-7012.
