Tina Knowles-Lawson Shades Grammys After JAY-Z Doesn't Win Any Awards

Hmmm? Did Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, just throw the 2018 Grammys some slight shade on social media? That's what people are thinking.

At the awards ceremony, which went down at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (Jan. 28), Knowles-Lawson's brother-in-law, JAY-Z, led the nominees with a total of eight nominations! These categories were Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.

Unfortunately, the rapper/mogul left the Grammys without winning any of these awards. Other stars like Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars swept the honors. Though the hip hop/R&B community loves and respect Lamar and Mars, many were still upset that Hov didn't get not one single award for his masterpiece 4:44 album that night.

It appears as though Knowles-Lawson was one of these people who disliked JAY not being acknowledged. So, on Instagram on Monday (Jan. 29), she posted a photo of Hov and Bey and captioned it: "Last night at the Fammys oops I mean Grammys must be a Freudian slip." But, she's since deleted it.
