Traffic on Interstate 5 in the Carlsbad area of San Diego County came to a stop at around 9:30am Friday morning when drivers discovered money all over the roadway.
Near the Cannon Road exit, drivers on both sides of the freeway got out of their vehicles to scoop up bills, which according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) came from an armored car whose door had somehow opened.
Details, including what denominations the bills were, are still limited. There is also a possibility the incident may have been a publicity stunt.
A social media post on Instagram was made from the "cash grab" by a young woman who appears to be the same woman who received national attention for the incredible backflip she did this summer at a Padres game.
