My Separation, 1 Year Later...

I woke up on April 29th, 2018 and everything was normal. By the time I went to bed that night a year ago, my life was totally different. The bed was empty. The house was quiet. I was alone. Then for the next 5 months, things kept happening that seemed everything but normal. A year later, I am at a point where I am accepting my “new normal”. It’s not pretty some days, in fact it’s down right ugly. But through this last year, it’s been a ton of self discovery, and now I am at a point where I am discovering what truly makes me happy. Truly happy. Not what’s cool, what someone else deems as Happiness, or a quick fix. A year later, the journey continues, but it’s much brighter days for sure.
