Pitbull is conquering the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic with an uplifting new song.
Monday (April 12) marked the release of a new single from Mr. Worldwide called “I Believe That We Will Win,” an empowering world anthem that tackles the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. "You know what spreads faster than any virus? It’s fear,” the Miami native opens the record. “And when it comes to fear, you can either forget everything and run, or you can face everything and rise."
Throughout the resilient track, Pitbull motivates people across the globe to prepare for the fight of their lives — in this case against the coronavirus — with the lyrics of a true champion. “It's time to knuckle up and fight hard/ Now let's all buckle up and fight harder,” Pitbull raps, before urging listeners to sing the spirited chant, “I believe that we will win.”
Pitbull’s new song not only brings much-needed inspiration amid these trying times, but the record will also benefit various charities around the world. All proceeds for the song will go toward organizations like Feeding America and the Tony Robbins Foundation. What’s more, Pitbull is encouraging fans to join the movement by submitting videos of themselves singing the hook of the song for a chance to be included in the upcoming music video.
“We believe that we can overcome," reads a statement from the artist’s Instagram. "We are calling all students, medical workers, first responders, parents, grandparents, everyone from all over the world to be part of Pitbull's video anthem."
