Chastity Patterson, 23, from Newport, Arkansas has been texting her late dad, Jason Ligons' phone every day for about 4 years and finally got a response from a man who lost his daughter in 2014
Losing a loved one is hard, especially when it's someone as close as a parent. Chastity Patterson regularly texts her father's old phone number, never expecting a response back. She would share messages about how she was able to beat cancer and graduating college. This time, she sent her late father another text message to update him on her life on his 4 year death anniversary and actually got a response! She immediately shared her response on Facebook stating, 'I text my dad everyday to let him know how my day goes, for the past four years! Today was my sign that everything is okay and I can let him rest!'
Turns out a man named Brad, who currently has her father's phone number, had also lost his own daughter back in 2014 to a car crash. He stated that he always wanted to text her back but didn't want to break her heart. He added that he had wished that his daughter would've been able to become the woman that Patterson had. He replied, 'Hi sweetheart, I am not your father, but I have been getting all your messages for the past four years. I look forward to your morning messages and your nightly updates. My name is Brad and I lost my daughter in a car wreck August 2014 and your messages kept me alive. When you text me, I know it's a message from God,' He even went on to call Patterson his 'angel.'
