Rodney Puckett drove with his wife's dead body in the passenger seat on road trip
Rodney Puckett, 70, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, was arrested at a traffic stop in Eloy, Arizona, when police saw that he was driving a dead woman on his passenger seat. The woman, was his wife Linda Puckett, 74. The two had filed for divorce back in February. She actually had a protection order against her husband.
Rodney claimed that his wife had died at a Texas hotel and that he wanted to finish their road trip.
UPDATE: A Carl's Jr. drive-thru employee in Arizona noticed something odd about the dead woman in the passenger seat. She noticed that Linda was nude and hunched over in the passenger seat. The employee immediately reported it to the cops who then caught up with Rodney in Eloy.
Eloy police determined that Linda's death was indeed a homicide. Her body was handed over to the Pinal County Medical Examiner to help determine the official cause of death.
Rodney is currently being held at the Penal County Jail with a charge of abandonment or concealment of a body.
