A man named Raphael Samuel is suing his parents for giving birth to him
Why on earth would someone want to sue their parents for being granted the gift of life? Well, according to one man, it's like being kidnapped and taken to a country that you don't like. As it turns out, Raphael Samuel, 27, believes in antinatalism , a philosophy made popular by guys like David Benatar that basically says that it is wrong to create new people and bring someone into the world only to experience some form of suffering.
Raphael is having a hard time finding a lawyer who's willing to take his side in court in India. According to the BBC , Raphael said of his mother, “Mum said she wished she had met me before I was born and that if she did, she definitely wouldn’t have had me,” he continues, “She told me that she was quite young when she had me and that she didn’t know she had another option. But that’s what I’m trying to say - everyone has the option.”
