This 6-Year-Old Cystic Fibrosis 'Warrior' Just Beat COVID-19

This 6-year-old had the biggest smile on his face after learning he'd recovered from COVID-19.

Joseph Bostain of Clarksville, Tennessee, had every reason to cheese as he announced he'd beaten the novel coronavirus this week. In a health update video posted to Facebook by his mother, Sabrina Bostain, Joseph, who also lives with cystic fibrosis, thanks his supporters for sending well wishes and rooting for his recovery.

"Thank you for all the cards and the prayers and the gifts. I'm a cystic fibrosis warrior and I beat COVID-19," said the 6-year-old, who ends the clip flexing his biceps in the spirit of a true champion.

Sabrina, who has been documenting her son's health journey on Facebook, revealed Joseph had been quarantined for two weeks at their Clarksville home after coming down with a fever and cough, both symptomatic of the highly contagious disease. After a visit to Monroe Carroll Jr. Children's Hospital, the youngster tested positive for COVID-19.

The outpouring of love Joseph has received leading up to his recovery has been tremendous, and his supporters were just as enthused about the happy news.

One commenter wrote, "Good for you Joseph! We are so happy for you and your family. It is wonderful to have such good doctors and nurses. We continue to pray for your continued good health!"

A neighbor to the Bostains added of Joseph, "You're one tough kid! Wow. Congratulations and I pray for continued positive vibes and good health for you."

As of Saturday (April 4), Tennessee accounts for more than 3,200 of 300,148 cases of COVID-19 in the United States.
