Circuit City to Re-Launch in February 2018

Circuit City CEO Ronny Shmoel, who acquired the Circuit City brand in 2015, confirmed at CES 2018 that February 15, 2018, will be the re-launch date for Circuit City.

The company will launch online and then eventually expand to brick-in-mortar stores and kiosks. Shmoel wants the website to "allow the products to find the consumers" while they browse. The site will feature virtual vignettes, search-by-photo, augmented reality, online chat and more to help consumers make buying decisions.

Like the former version of the store, Shmoel noted that there will be a curated line of computers, TVs, gaming, imaging, and appliances from major brands like Samsung, Panasonic, Canon and more. The company will also partner with Skinny IT to help with home installations for customers.

The company has distribution centers around the United States in place and will also partner up with drop-shipping partners.
