Vanessa Lachey Reveals Son Was Born Premature On 'Dancing With The Stars'

Vanessa Lachey did an emotional rumba on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” The theme was “Most Memorable Year,” and for Lachey, it was the year her son Phoenix was born two and a half months premature. She said her family and year were “complete” that year. Reunited with dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Lachey danced to her husband Nick’s song “Godspeed (Sweet Dreams).”

As Gossip Cop reported, the TV host performed with Alan Berstein last week because Lachey was in a feud with Chmerkovskiy. There were erroneous claims that the pro was not returning to “Dancing With The Stars” this season but, as we noted, that was completely false. And while the two strong-willed individuals had their differences, Chmerkovksiy and Lachey worked them out.

Last week with the Bersten, Lachey performed a jazz number to Cyndi Lauper’s hit, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Len Goodman felt, “Everybody had fun watching it.” He further called it a “terrific routine,” and said, “I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.” “You were fantastic,” gushed Carrie Ann Inaba. And Bruno Tonioli exclaimed, “I absolutely loved it!” As a resulted, Lachey earned 23 out of a total 30 points.

Even though she’s gone back-and-forth with dance partners, Lachey hasn’t missed a step. She and Chmerkovskiy impressed the judges and audience once again. About her rumba, Goodman offered, “I loved the routine and I loved the way you danced and performed it.” Inaba added it was the “perfect” dance for her. “It was romance and classic and I really liked it,” shared Tonioli. For their performance to Nick Lachey’s “Godspeed (Sweet Dreams),” they received a score of 24 out of 30 points. Check out the video above.
