Brazilian college student, and assumed alien enthusiast Bruno Borges, 24, has been missing since March 27th, 2017.
His parents had returned from a month-long trip only to find that their son, Bruno, was missing. Bruno's sister, Gabriela, said that while the parents were away, Bruno would isolate himself in his bedroom, which he always kept locked.
They eventually convinced the authorities to help open his locked room to see if there were any clues to his disappearance.
What they found was a shrine to the extraterrestrial world including a $6,400 statue of a 16th-Century philosopher who predicted extraterrestrial life, Giordano Bruno, along with a lot of weird notes. There's even a self-portrait of himself with an alien! They also found 14 bound handwritten manuscripts containing phrases like:
“It is easy to accept what you have been taught since childhood and what is wrong."
“It is difficult, as an adult, to understand that you were wrongly taught what you suspected was correct since you were a child."
“In other words, if you fit into the system, your behavior will be determined, making you at the mercy of beliefs already provided and well established in dogmas and rituals, with the masses.”
