Calling all Fairy Prince and Princesses!Children (and parents) are invited to celebrate summer at the annual Fairy Festival at the Hamilton Children's Garden at San Diego Botanic Gardens. The Fairy Festival features fairy- and garden-themed crafting, where children can make anything from their own flower fairy doll to treasure chests. Plus face painting, a fairy land to be explored, and an official fairy queen and fairy princess ready to have their picture taken. In addition to the crafting and shopping in the Fairyland Market, Snap-Tap-N-Sing will perform dance and sing-along music. Adult attendees are asked not to dress up for the festival. Wear your fairy costume or come just as you are. Create a fairy house, make fairy treasures, leave messages on the wishing bush, or shop in the Fairyland market. Be sure to bring your camera for a picture with the Fairy Princess. Small fee for crafts. Absolutely no adults in costumes please.

2) What: La Jolla Festival of Arts
When: June 21-22nd
Time: 10am- 5pm
Where: UCSD Warren Field
WHAT: The 28th Annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts (LJFA) will feature nearly 200 of the West’s finest artists, live entertainment, delicious food and drinks and interactive performance art – all benefiting San Diegans with disabilities.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds will be given to over 30 San Diego programs that empower locals and wounded warriors to live beyond their disabilities. Many of them will be at the Festival to talk about their organizations.
VISUALS: Not your typical street fair, this fine art showcase will offer sought-after art including paintings, sculptures, photography, glass, jewelry, ceramics, wood, fibers and mixed media – all atop UC San Diego’s lush Warren Field.
American Idol season 10 finalist Casey Abrams, a singer/songwriter, is joining returning guests Dave Scott & Monsoon Jazz, Peter Sprague, Fred Benedetti and the Jazz 88 All-Stars on the main entertainment stage. Casey Abrams performance, Saturday from 2-5 p.m.
Guests can enjoy “Restaurant Row,” which features Stone Brewing Co., Homeplate Fries, Bottaro Pizza, Green Truck and more delicious cuisine. The Festival’s “Activities Zone” will offer art, fun and golf games for younger visitors.

2) What: Intervention Pool Party at the Hard Rock Hotel: Afrojack
When: Sunday June 22nd
Cost: $60 Presale $70 at the door
This is the biggest pool party in San Diego. The coolest of the cools show up baring it all for an all day outdoor party starting at noon. Afrojack will be there performing.
Get there early to avoid waiting outside in a long line. Don’t show up with a big group of guys, you may find it a little harder to get in. Yes, girls wear bikinis and heels to this party. Dress to impress (as much as you can at least while wearing a bathing suit). When you get there download their Intervention app so you can easily edit your pics and post to social media day. It’s actually pretty cool.

The June 21 Carlsbad Music Festival Village Walk is a free community event featuring 40+ performances of adventurous music of all kinds drawing thousands of people to indoor and outdoor venues throughout the seaside Village of Carlsbad. There will be more than 50 musicians.
If you live in the area try bike riding to the Festival! PCH is a particularly scenic ride for coming from the North or South.
2) What: Food for the Fight

Calling all Food Network fans: “The Great Food Truck Race” Season 4 winner Aloha Plate is rolling into San Diego this weekend.They’ll join with local food trucks and restaurants to raise cash for cancer research. The inaugural Food for the Fight event to support the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk will be held at Sushi on a Roll on Sunday, June 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets include food and drink from Carnitas' Snack Shack, HG Sausageworks, Blind Tiger Cocktail Co., URBN ST.
