San Diego Jiu-Jitsu Champion Confronts Home Intruder

Mixed Martial Arts and Jiu-Jitsu specialist, Dean "The Boogeyman" Lister found a home intruder inside his apartment

He originally thought someone was working or doing maintenance in his apartment, but when he noticed this man who was covered in tattoos wearing nothing but his boxers, something seemed fishy. He then pulled out his phone to record the man.

Lister started asking the unknown man questions about why he was in his home. The man replied, "I thought this was a church," before he reached for a hammer. That was the moment when Lister, a gun owner, grabbed his gun. The unknown man attempted to make his way out the same window that he broke in through as soon as saw Lister's gun. Lister allowed the man to escape because he simply felt that no money lost was worth a human life.

"Hopefully he turns his life around," Lister said.

Dean Lister and authorities are hoping the public can help to identify the unknown man in the video by contacting the San Diego Police Department.
