The Weeknd has opened up about his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show saying that his halftime show won’t be as bloody as his afterhours videos and says he will keep his performance "PG-13."
The Weeknd said, “I definitely want to be respectful to the viewers at home. I will still incorporate some of the storyline [from the videos]— but we definitely will keep it PG for the families. I’ll do my best.”
And in some unfortunate news, The Weeknd says there will be no guests during his performance.
He said that in order for his vision to play out properly and for him to include all the songs he wants, it doesn't make sense for other entertainers to be involved. There wasn’t any room to fit it into the story. So no special guests because he will be continuing his cohesive story line from the videos. It will be a 14 minute show and they actually built a stage within the stadium that they’ll use as well as the field. He said his performance is inspired by Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Prince.
