JAY-Z Reveals The 'Most Beautiful Thing' Blue Ivy Has Ever Said To Him

JAY-Z's upcoming sit-down with David Letterman as part of Friday's (April 6) episode of "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" will also touch on the hip-hop titan's relationship with his six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

Ahead of the premiere of the Netflix episode, another clip has been released and it revolves around the father/daughter relationship. "I feel grateful every day. I wake up. I look around, look at my kids. They healthy," he shared. "I told [Blue Ivy] to get in the car the other day because she was asking a thousand questions and we had to leave for school…I just hear a little voice [say], 'Dad, I didn't like the way you told me to get in the car the way you told me'— she's six — 'It hurt my feelings.'"

Jigga admitted that the moment holds a special place in his heart. "That was the most beautiful thing you’ve ever said to me," he told Letterman of the moment with Blue.

In a previous clip for the episode, JAY-Z spoke about the time that his mother, Gloria Carter, came out to him. "Imagine having to live your life as someone else, right? And you think you're protecting your kids and for my mother to have to live as someone that she wasn't and hide and like protect her kids, didn't want to embarrass her kids."

He continued: "For her to sit in front of me and tell me, 'I think I love someone.' I mean, I really cried. That's a real story. I cried because I was so happy for her that she was free."
