Imagine having Adele officiate your wedding and provide the musical entertainment for the ceremony in her own back garden. That's what happened when the pop titan approached British comedian/longtime friend Alan Carr with the idea of being part of his big day with then-fiancé Paul Drayton, as revealed during his recent appearance on ITV's This Morning.
On Tuesday (April 3), Carr made the big reveal and it seems like Adele could very well have a career in wedding planning if she ever chooses. "She said, 'I want to do your special day. Let me do everything,'" Carr said of the 29-year-old singer's decision to spearhead the event, which took place in her Los Angeles backyard in January. "She did everything. She got ordained and she married us. She is the kindest, most sweetest, loveliest person ever. She flew us to Vegas to see Celine Dion sing." Now, Adele pulled all the stops for the affair, including being part of the first dance performance alongside Carr's two friends, Claire and Justin. "I just want to tell everyone. She won't say because she's so private. Flowers, three-course meal, she just planned it all. It was the best day of our life," the host gushed.
After Carr's story went viral on the blogosphere, Adele took the reveal one step further by sharing a photo of her on the day of the wedding. "Seeing as the cats out the bag. I married two of my best friends in January. You know me any excuse to dress up," she captioned the shot of her in front of a white flower wall and tagged Carr with the hashtag #LoveisLove and the gay flag emoji.
