Here's What Joey Fatone Had To Say About *NSYNC Reuniting At The Super Bowl

It seems like Justin Timberlake will perform his Super Bowl LII halftime show without any assistance and that includes passing on an *NSYNC reunion during the highly-anticipated set, according to his former bandmate Joey Fatone.

On Tuesday (January 23), TMZ published a report with their brief paparazzo encounter with the *NSYNC bandmate and it seems like the thought of seeing Timberlake, Fatone, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick all on one stage again is nothing more than a dream. Asked if he and his former bandmates were reuniting for the big show, Fatone's response said it all. "I'm here right now," Joey told TMZ Sports outside Delilah over the weekend. "If I was doing something, I'd be at rehearsals right now, so obviously, there's your proof. There's nothing wrong with that."

Asked if Timberlake should recruit Janet Jackson to make amends for leaving her as the public scapegoat in 2004, Fatone didn't seem too enthusiastic about the idea. "Why? He's not that kind of person. He's not controversial like that. He is in a sense, but not in the sense to do it deliberately."

JT recently took a trip down memory lane to revisit the scandal, which took place at Super Bowl XXXVIII and saw the singer rip off a layer of Janet's top to reveal a shield on her breast. It would eventually go on to be referred to simply as "nipplegate." "Naturally, that's something we talked about," the singer said of his post-performance discussions with Ms. Jackson. "To be honest, it wasn't too much of a conversation. It's just one of those things where you go, like, 'Yeah, what do you want me to say? We're not going to do that again!'"
